Throwback to The Maldives
I was reminded today that this time last year I was poolside in a 5 star hotel with my best friend in The Maldives. Today I'm sitting on my couch in Brooklyn. There were many memorable things about that trip but one food memory I have that still gets me scratching my head.
Sitting among an assortment of native fruits in our bungalow was the Dragon Fruit. What an interesting looking thing. Thankfully I was accompanied by a chef who knew how to expertly dissect it in a matter of seconds. What a strange thing- inside and out. I couldn't wait to try it!
Gross. Rarely do dislike a food and I wouldn't say I hate this but I just don't get the appeal. Is everyone that's buying this fooled by the beautiful exterior? I don't get it but maybe there's something I'm missing.
